But Swedish paper Expressen have reported Chelsea have their noses in front after Isak partnered with Serbian agent Vladica “Vlado” Lemic – who is friends with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.

Expressen report that: “Lemic has strong contacts with the top European football clubs, and through Chelsea’s former sporting director Frank Arnesen, the Serb has established a relationship with Russian owner Roman Abramovich.”

The Blues still have competition as rivals Manchester United and Liverpool – who have been linked numerous times with Isak – are still in the race.

Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic has previously told agent Mino Raiola to recommend the youngster to former clubs Juventus and PSG – only adding to the competition.

Isak stands at 6ft 3in and made his debut for Sweden Under-21s earlier this month.
