ANTONIO CONTE will begin the overhaul of his Chelsea squad with a move for Juventus star Leonardo Bonucci after Roman Abramovich gave the green light to a huge spending spree.

Reports claim Conte is determined to strengthen his squad in the next two transfer windows despite Chelsea’s resurgent form in the Premier League.

Chelsea have also kept a clean sheet in each of those wins and Conte is now ready to bring in reinforcements as he bids to win the title in his first season at Stamford Bridge.

The Telegraph claims Bonucci is the Italian’s top target, even though Juventus are extremely reluctant to sell.

Bonucci’s potential arrival could spell the end of John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic’s careers in west London, with the veteran duo out of contract next summer.

Conte is also eyeing Roma ace Antonio Rudiger and Burnley bruiser Michael Keane if Bonucci opts to remain in Turin, while academy product Andreas Christensen wants to be handed a chance when his two-year Borussia Monchengladbach loan expires at the end of the season.

Chelsea are also desperate to sign a new midfielder after telling John Obi Mikel his dwindling deal won't be extended, and could reignite interest in Roma's Radja Nainggolan and Inter Milan playmaker Marcelo Brozovic after missing out on both last summer.

West Ham target Cesc Fabregas could also find himself shipped out after failing to win over Conte, even though he wants to stay put and fight his way back into the starting XI.

Additional reports add Sevilla’s French midfielder Steven N’Zonzi is a new name on Conte’s shopping list, and the former Stoke hero already admits he’s ‘happy’ to be linked with a Premier League return.
