CHINESE clubs have moved on from poaching top players and managers from Europe — and are now taking their medical staff.
Shanghai Shenhua have convinced Real Madrid’s first team doctor Joaquin Mas to move to the Far East.
Mas posted a goodbye message on Facebook, alongside nine pictures of him holding a trophy won by the club.
In it, he thanked the rest of the staff — and insisted the words to “We Are The Champions” will always be with him after enjoying so much success.
He also explained that he was leaving the club of his heart in Real Madrid, and that suggests he must have received a very enticing offer from Shenhua.
Clubs from the Chinese Super League have been attracting some of the game’s most high-profile players in recent seasons.
