CM Punk lined with sensational wrestling return with UFC ace set to make appearance at All In indie show

WWE legend and UFC fighter CM Punk returns to wrestling on August 31 alongside the Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes.

Punk – real name Phil Brookes – is doing a meet-and-greet with fans for ProWrestlingTees.com in Chicago, the day before the independent All In show in the same city.

Fans are confident the logistics and Punk’s friendship with the Bucks mean the he could make an appearance, in-ring or otherwise, at the Sears Centre Arena.

The 10,000-ticket show sold out in just 29 minutes thanks to the online buzz created by the show.

Punk’s involvement could hinge on the outcome of his second UFC fight on June 9.

After being destroyed on his MMA debut against Mickey Gall, Punk looked out of his depth in the octagon but has been given another shot on the main show.

Hardcore MMA fans are unhappy he is getting another push – against Mike Jackson who has an identical 0-1 record.

And the 39-year-old wrestling hero admits he would be better suited to preliminary show lower down on the card and way off the poster.

The American said: “If it was up to me, I’d be first fight on fight pass.

“Don’t matter to me.  Fans like to be outraged by stuff that doesn’t matter.”
