FLOYD MAYWEATHER and Conor McGregor are deep in talks over a sensational MMA rematch worth around £360million, according to reports.
The two fighters came face-to-face in the boxing ring last August when the undefeated former world champion stopped his foe in the tenth round in Las Vegas.
But having met in Mayweather’s preferred discipline, talkSPORT’s Jim White says the duo are now looking at locking horns again inside McGregor‘s octagon domain.
White said: “My soundings are that there are a lot of talks going on in the background, there are a lot of talks around people with Mayweather.
“There are a lot of talks about him potentially having an MMA fight with McGregor.
“McGregor had no chance in a boxing match with Mayweather.
“People will tune in to see Mayweather get stopped by Conor McGregor and it won’t affect his boxing record.
“I think it’s going to happen and I think it will be a three, four, five hundred million dollar fight again.”

Mayweather has dropped numerous hints he is ready to step inside the octagon after posting a video of himself stepping into an MMA cage last month.
Joe Rogan, a veteran commentator on MMA, also claimed that Mayweather has been in negotiations with UFC president Dana White over a potential “billion dollar” deal.

Mayweather has also publicly bragged that he has received multi-fight offers from the UFC.
However, ex-UFC middleweight champ Michael Bisping believes any potential rematch inside the octagon would be a short-lived one.
Speaking on his podcast, Bisping said: “I honestly can’t see Mayweather fighting mixed martial arts and certainly [not] in the UFC.
“McGregor in an MMA fight will f*****g destroy Mayweather like he’s never seen.
“You take him down you pass guard and you elbow the f*** out of his face in about 35 seconds, you fight a boxer [like Mayweather] you take him down.”
