CONOR MCGREGOR is delighted Ronda Rousey has fulfilled her WWE dream despite his history of slamming the professional wrestling industry.
The women’s MMA legend has taken a prolonged break from the octagon after suffering shock consecutive losses.
TV and film appearances have come thick and fast, as did her wedding to fellow UFC struggler Travis Browne.
But, at WWE’s flagship Royal Rumble show, Rowdy Ronda Rousey made her second major appearance and hinted at a huge spot at the upcoming Wrestlemania.
Speaking in New York, McGregor – who looks set to fight Floyd Mayweather under MMA rules in 2018 – said: “I’m delighted for her, absolutely over the moon for her.
“She looked like she really enjoyed herself at the event, and I was very, very happy to see her.

“She’s a pioneer for the game, and she’s came through it all and faced big wins and big, big losses, and she came through it
“It’s great to see her represent herself and mixed martial arts and have fun in WWE. I know she’s been a big fan of it through all her life, and it’s great to see that.”

The Irish UFC sensation has also long been linked with a move to WWE because of his unmatched trash-talking skills and showmanship.
And some choice words for some of the Raw and Smackdown stars – including current champion Brock Lesnar – have already set up some serious feuds, if he ever takes the plunge.
In 2016, when asked about a WWE appearance, McGregor said: “”I have thought about WWE.
“For the most part, I think these guys are pussies, to be honest.
“They’re messed up pussies if you ask me. Fair play to Brock, he got in and fought but, at the end of the day, he was juiced up to the fucking eyeballs. How can I respect that?”

Even when WWE fans bombarded the Crumlin hero online, his apology came with a verbal slap.
He said: “I didn’t mean no disrespect to the (WWE) fans.
“What I meant to say was that I’d slap the head off your entire roster. And twice on Sundays.”
