CONOR McGregor is in talks for a big-budget Hollywood blockbuster despite “p***ing off” producers the last time around.
The Notorious has firmly set his sights on conquering the silver screen after his unprecedented success inside the Octagon.
The Sun has learned that dad-to-be Conor, 28, has held a number of high level meetings with producers as he bids to break into movies, with a big action role lined up.
But the MMA sensation has his work cut out for him, after withdrawing at short notice from a film project with Vin Diesel following his shock defeat to Nate Diaz on March 5 last.
An insider explained: “Conor really wants to start doing movies. He’s doing everything in his power to break into Hollywood.
“There has been a good deal of interest in him already and he thinks the time is right to start branching out.
“There’s been talk of a part in a big action movie and he’s held a number of meetings with producers, so it looks like there’s something in the pipeline.
“Conor would be a natural fit for a big Hollywood blockbuster.”
Cocky Conor had been set to feature in screen hit xXx last year, alongside Vin Diesel, but dropped out.
More on McGregor
Director DJ Caurso revealed the Crumlin brawler decided not to star in the action flick after his shock defeat to Nate Diaz last year.
He explained: “I wasn’t disappointed by it, I was p****d because Conor had said ‘Yes’ he was gonna do the movie.
“He got his ass kicked by Nate Diaz and then after that he sort of backed out…”
Fellow UFC star Michael Bisping played the role intended for McGregor. Caurso added: “We had liked Michael from the outset, so we reached back out to him and got him.
“I think it all works out for great reasons — and then to have Michael become the world champion while you’re getting to know him.”
The Notorious is set to appear in the next series of international smash hit Game Of Thrones.
He also features in the latest instalment of the popular Call of Duty computer game, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, alongside Game of Thrones favourite Kit Harrington.
