Conor McGregor makes it rain £20 notes as UFC star parties with clubbers into the early hours

CONOR McGREGOR did some sterling work for his fans as he tossed £20 notes around during a night out in Scotland.

It came after he appeared in a Q&A session in the city where he vowed to beat 40-year-old Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather should the pair meet in a rematch.

The Notorious was stopped in the tenth round in Las Vegas last month against the American but has said he will come out victorious if they clash again.

McGregor, 29, arrived in a blacked-out Rolls Royce Phantom and didn’t hold back when speaking about the bout.

Some punters forked out up to £1,100 for the chance to get up close to the MMA star with a meet-and-greet option.

It is believed the UFC superstar raked in £75,000 from the Glasgow gig – but he might have upset a fair few in the SEC Armadillo.

The Notorious came out cheering for Celtic in a city where the Rangers-Celtic divide is a pretty fierce one.

Afterwards the newly-minted star partied with his loyal followers in the nearby Sanctuary nightclub where he flashed the cash with the abandon of man who just took home a£75million paycheck.

At the "Evening With Conor McGregor" event earlier that night, McGregor says he could still fight in the UFC before 2017 is out.

He said: “I could still fight at the end of this year.

“I’ll wait and see what happens with Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee. I’ve got options.

“They’re all waiting on me but I’m waiting on them coming back to me with something.

“It has to be interesting to me.

“Let me see what these two fools do this weekend.

"I’m also looking forward to seeing Justin Gaethje fight Eddie Alvarez. Khabib Nurmagomedov in Russia would be great, it would be crazy, but I need to see him make weight.

“I’m not going over there just to find out he can’t do it.

“If Diaz prices himself out of a fight, I’ll probably defend my title against one of these two guys that are fighting this weekend.”

Journalist Chisanga Malata - live at the event - then revealed the Mayweather line.

He tweeted: "McGregor says he'd beat Mayweather if they had a rematch."
