Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather’s Las Vegas showdown smashed the pay-per-view sales record by almost 2million buys, according to UFC boss Dana White.
In 2015 the Money Man and Manny Pacquiao finally went toe-to-toe in after years of negotiations.
And the 4.6m fight fans who tuned in to see the Filipino politician dethrone the undefeated king were disappointed by a snore-fest Mayweather won on points.
Advances in technology since that boxing clash meant the cross-sport clash between the Irishman and the 50-0 star could reach over 1billion homes in over 200 countries.
The UFC were able to offer the fight on digital platforms which boosted availability and purchases of the bout.
The figures were leaked on an Instagram video made by retired UFC fighter Urijah Faber who was in a studio with White and rapper and MMA commentator Snoop Dogg.
Mayweather Promotion bosses insisted the live gate smashed the £55m record the Pacman fight reached.
But in the aftermath of the underwhelming fight, Showtime revealed the attendance was only 14,623, almost a quarter short of the 20,000 capacity.

McGregor insisted after the fight that he should have been allowed to box on longer than the tenth round when Robert Byrd jumped in.
But Mayweather and his team revealed there were bets placed on the veteran to win in the ninth and tenth.
McGregor: “I thought I took the early rounds pretty handily.
"He had to change his style, and he adjusted. He’s composed.
“He’s not that fast, he’s not that powerful, but boy is he composed. He was patient with his shots.
“He’s had a great career. What can I say? I had a bit of fun and hopefully entertained the fans.
“I thought it was close, though, and I thought it was a little early on the stoppage.
“I get a little wobbly when I’m tired. But get me in the corner and I’ll recover and I’ll come back.
“There’s a lot on the line here – he should have let me keep going until I hit the floor. I was just a little fatigued.”
