Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly ‘disillusioned’ with Real Madrid’s attempts to sign Neymar
CRISTIANO RONALDO is “disillusioned” with Real Madrid’s attempts to sign Neymar, according to reports.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner and Bernabeu legend appears to fear that he is being phased out in the Spanish capital.

And according to AS, the 33-year-old views Los Blancos’ bid to renew their squad with “suspicion and disbelief.”
Ronaldo had a quiet final this year in Kiev, as Gareth Bale stole the show, scoring two including an incredible bicycle kick that will go down in football folklore.
He said after the final: “Each September, 50 players will come and in the end, none come.
“The best ones are already at Real Madrid: Bale, Benzema, Asensio, Lucas Vazquez, etc.”

Ronaldo is also keenly aware that he is paid less than Neymar, and reportedly wants a staggering £1.35m-per-week deal.
The former Manchester United forward also has the threat of a £24million tax bill hanging over his head, an issue over which he has protested his innocence.
Ronaldo has been back training with Portugal as he bids to add the World Cup to his country’s stunning victory at Euro 2016.
A swoop for Neymar would be controversial in Spain, given he played for Barcelona for four seasons after signing from Santos.

But after a world record £198million switch to PSG last summer, the Brazilian would be a tough name to prize from the French champions.
One thing is for sure, there does not appear to be room enough for two egos the size of theirs, even at the biggest club in the world.
