CRISTIANO RONALDO has found a new home for his Ballon d’Or trophy – at his own museum in his hometown Madeira.
The Real Madrid superstar was crowned the world’s best player for the fourth time on Monday after guiding both Portugal and Madrid to major tournament wins last season.
And after wasting no time in jetting off to Japan to join up with the rest of his team-mates, Ronaldo donated his gold trophy to his hotel and museum in Madeira.

Ronaldo put the golden ball on a pedestal in the museum and uploaded the snap to Instagram with the caption: “My golden ball it’s available in my museum in Madeira.”
Ronaldo opened a museum dedicated to his own success in 2013 but it underwent a massive refurbishment before reopening in his hometown on July 1.
Inside is hundreds of trophies, signed shirts and personal items that stem over the course of his illustrious career.

On top of picking up his fourth trophy, the 31-year-old was also gifted a pair of limited addition gold boots and a personalised cake from Real Madrid.
And he may even allow himself to enjoy a slice as the La Liga giants head into the winter break with their next league match coming on 7 January.
But first they must play Club America in the World Club Championship.
Real take on their Mexican opponents on Thursday morning hoping to add the world crown to the European Cup they lifted in May.
If they come through that match against the CONCACAF champions, they then face either Atletico Nacional or Kashima Antlers in the final.
