SCOTT DANN will miss Crystal Palace’s trip to Sunderland on Saturday with a hamstring injury.
The skipper hobbled off injured in the first half of the Eagles’ defeat against Southampton in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.
Manager Alan Pardew rested a number of key names in the midweek clash and nearly has a clean bill of health as he looks to pick up his third consecutive league win.
He said: “Scott Dann has a slight strain in his hamstring, definitely will miss this game and possibly Everton as well.”
Wilfried Zaha also misses out with a slight hamstring strain.
But there was better news regarding James Tomkins who bagged his first Palace goal last week before coming off injured.
Pardew added: “Tomkins is fit. That’s why we invested heavily in him, so we could seamlessly fit him in to that centre half position, so that’s worked out okay for us.
“I rested some players [against Southampton] due to the Premier League demands and with our squad we needed to make sure we got everybody up to speed.

Zeki Fryers has only played three minutes of league football for Palace since signing from Tottenham in 2014 but made a rare start against Southampton.
Pape Souare’s layoff with a broken thighbone after crashing his car means Fryers could be handed further first team football at left-back and Pardew revealed that the 24-year-old “can push for that position.”
