CRYSTAL PALACE will press on with their summer spending spree by signing £10million defender James Tomkins.
Boss Alan Pardew has already brought in £13m winger Andros Townsend from Newcastle and £1.65m Marseille keeper Steve Mandanda.

Now Pards is set to wrap up a deal for West Ham centre-back Tomkins, 27.
But the rebuilding will not stop there — Palace yesterday made an official £25m bid for Christian Benteke.
Tomkins is a target for Palace but it will take a big offer to tempt him from the Hammers
The offer fell short of the £30m Liverpool want for the big centre- forward, who has struggled at Anfield.
But Pardew is confident that the Selhurst club can sort out a deal.
Benteke has indicated that he wants to fight for his place under Jurgen Klopp, although his chances look slim.

Pardew believes he can help Benteke, 25, turn round his career in the Premier League and Palace are the
only club to have made a firm bid for the Belgian.
One player in the bag is Townsend, 24, who revealed it was an “easy” decision to join Palace.
