CRYSTAL PALACE are close to making the £12million signing of Luka Milivojevic.
According to the Mail, talks are in advanced stages and the Eagles are confident of completing a deal ahead of the transfer deadline.
Serbia international Milivojevic has also been looked at by Sunderland, West Ham and Watford, who could all do with his expert skills in the defensive midfield role.
In the first half of the Greek season – despite his deep-lying duties – Milivojevic has scored five goals to help fire Olympiakos to the top of the league.
Former England boss, Allardyce, has money to spend from Palace’s new American backers and he has already splashed out £12m on Jeff Schlupp from Leicester.
The ex-West Ham manager also wants to complete deals for Sunderland’s Patrick van Aarnholt and Norwich’s Robbie Brady.
Palace have scored an impress 30 Premier League goals this season, the same as eighth place West Brom and more than mid-table Stoke And West Ham, but they’re stuck down in 18th after letting in 41.
The Eagles have kept only one cleansheet in the league all season and have must-win games against fellow strugglers Bournemouth, Sunderland and Middlesbrough coming up.
