DANIEL STURRIDGE has been handed a shock start against Scotland tonight.
The Liverpool striker has not scored a Premier League goal this season.
But he will lead the line at Wembley, with Gareth Southgate preferring to keep fit-again Harry Kane on the bench.

Sturridge, 27, looked certain to start off as a sub because of a poor display in last month’s 0-0 draw in Slovenia.
Interim boss Southgate thought about playing skipper Wayne Rooney in the No 9 role.
But he will use the Manchester United star as one of three just behind — alongside Adam Lallana and Raheem Sterling.
Kane could still feature but Southgate was unsure of the Tottenham ace’s sharpness.
That is despite Kane starting in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal and netting from the spot.
His Spurs pal Eric Dier is set to partner Jordan Henderson in a 4-2-3-1.
And Tottenham full-backs Kyle Walker and Danny Rose were both doubts but will play.
Yet Rose, struggling with an ankle issue, will return to Spurs after tonight’s game.
He will miss Tuesday’s Spain friendly but England could turn to Ryan Bertrand or Aaron Cresswell at left-back.
