Denis Shapovalov fined £5,600 for hitting ball at umpire in Davis Cup tie against Great Britain

CANADA’S Denis Shapovalov has been fined £5,600 for hitting a ball at an umpire in Davis Cup tie against Great Britain.

The 17-year-old future star saw red during his clash against Team GB’s Kyle Edmund, whacking a ball away in anger, only to rifle into the match official’s left eye.
