Strangely, Glazer - who is also the co-chairman of the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers - donated another $5,400 (£4,353) to Hillary Clinton's failed campaign.

Liverpool chairman Tom Werner donated $2,700 (£2,179) to Clinton's campaign.

Trump's victory could lead to big changes in the Premier League, while his election also saw a number of funny images and memes emerge from the football world.
