Dundee United star Willo Flood shoves TV camera… after being sent-off for pushing opponent

FURIOUS Dundee United captain Wilo Flood shoved a cameraman and his camera – after being sent off for pushing an opponent.

Flood let his temper get the better of him as he got sent off for unsportsmanlike conduct after a push on Livingston’s Shaun Byrne.

The 33-year-old was given his marching orders by referee Nick Walsh for a second yellow in the promotion play-off clash.

And fired-up Flood stormed off the pitch, only to shove the BT Sport cameraman who was filming his walk of shame.

Of course, the problem with barging a camera is that, well, it’s a rolling camera.

And his hair-brained moment of ill-discipline was captured for anyone watching on TV before going viral on social media soon after.

The damage had largely already been done at Tannadice as Flood and his team-mates squandered a 2-1 lead to lose 3-2 in the first leg of their relegation/promotion semi-final.

Defeat means they have to beat Livingston away if they are to get a chance of being promoted back to the Scottish Premiership.

The winner of this tie goes on to face Prem side St Mirren, to decide who plays in the top flight this term.

And social media had its fair share of reaction to Flood’s moment of ill discipline.

One journalist said: “I’m going to be honest, that’s the most I’ve enjoyed watching a game on TV for a long time.

“Five goals, mental tackles, flailing arms in the crowd and, to top it off, Willo Flood shoving a cameraman out of his face. Outstanding entertainment.”
