EDEN HAZARD has taken a cheeky dig at England, saying: Belgium’s Golden Generation will not fail like yours.
The Three Lions had a star-studded team between 2002 and 2006 but ended up losing in the quarter- finals of three successive major tournaments.
Belgium are among the favourites to win the World Cup in Russia.
And Chelsea’s Hazard, 27, said: “We know what we are. We are good players, we all play in the big games in England, in Italy and in Spain.
“Ten years or 15 years ago, you had this golden generation in England but you won nothing.
“Now I think the fans, journalists, all of Belgium, the country just wants to win something.
“We have a golden generation — we just want to win something now.
“Can we be different to England? Maybe, maybe, we will see.”

And after being roughed up by Egypt in their friendly on Wednesday, he knows he could be in for similar treatment in the World Cup clashes with Panama and Tunisia.
Hazard smiled: “I am used to that in England! It is something I know. I like to be kicked!”
Hazard is most looking forward to the Red Devils’ clash with England, where he could come up against team-mate Gary Cahill.
By then, Belgium and the Three Lions will both hope to have already qualified for the last 16.
