EDINSON CAVANI is heading back to Napoli — but not to play football.
The Uruguayan’s future at Paris Saint-Germain has come into question in recent weeks, after a series of public spats with new team-mate Neymar.
It had been speculated he could go back to former club Napoli, where he scored 104 goals in just three seasons.
And those reports have now been confirmed — however, his return will consist of an unpleasant court date on November 28 for a hearing over an alleged unfair dismissal.
Cavani, 30, is being sued for around £88,000 by former associate Giuseppe Spinosa, who claims he was paid cash in hand, before being sacked out of the blue.
Spinosa told Neapolitan daily Il Mattino: “About two years ago, after three years of working together, Cavani decided I wasn’t needed any more.
“I asked for an explanation, but the Uruguayan wouldn’t tell me why he sacked me.
“I suddenly found myself out of work — and the two of us had been very tight.

“I am suing him because he paid me under the table and sacked me without a valid reason.”
Cavani left Napoli to join PSG 2013 and has won Ligue 1 three times in four years.
Despite his public issues with Neymar, he has started this campaign impressively with 11 goals in 11 games.
