MANCHESTER CITY flop Eliaquim Mangala has been officially unveiled by Valencia following his move on transfer deadline day.
The France international joined the La Liga giants on a season-long loan after falling down the pecking order at the Etihad following the £47.5million arrival of John Stones from Everton.
New boss Pep Guardiola also has Nicolas Otamendi and soon-to-be-fit-again skipper Vincent Kompany at his disposal, and Mangala had no realistic chance of getting near the first team.
But the 25-year-old – who cost £32m from Porto in 2014 – reckons he can recapture the form that made him one of Europe’s top defenders a few years ago after being presented to the public alongside fellow new signing Ezequiel Garay.
Mangala said: “I previously had two chances to join the club and this was my third, so it felt like the final opportunity and it was one I wanted to take.
“I am very happy to be here and to have joined such a big club.
