Southgate allowed his players out on the town in what was a pre-arranged celebration to mark their qualification for the World Cup.

England host Brazil – the world’s second-ranked side – in a friendly on Tuesday.

John Stones hid his face while leaving Morton’s club and Kyle Walker put his coat over his head.

But it was Hart and Trippier who caught the eye – after catching each other’s hands.

The pair looked to joke around as they walked down the steps leading away from the exclusive night hotspot.

Reports suggested the Football Association could have looked to introduce a ban on players’ nights out while on international duty after Wayne Rooney was pictured with red-wine stained lips the night after England beat Scotland last November.
