How did the teams get on in their opening matches?

England would have been relieved to come away with a point in their opening match against Sweden.

The Swedes, who are the competition holders, created the better chances, with the Three Lions relying on £30m Everton man Jordan Pickford to save a penalty and keep them in the match.

Slovakia were much more impressive in their opening match as they clinched a 2-1 win against hosts Poland.

Martin Valjent and Pavol Safranko grabbed the goals as the Slovaks came from behind to beat their neighbours.
