EOIN MORGAN’s England begin their one-day series Down Under with an opening showdown at the MCG.
After the disappointment of the Ashes series, the limited overs side finally get to show what they’re made of in one of cricket’s great arenas.
This will be the first of five one-day internationals taking place over the next month, before the T20’s close the tour in February.
What time will it start?
AFTER the Ashes series and all those late nights, there’s a few more on the horizon.
Things will get underway in this one at 3.20am UK time on Sunday, January 14.
Where is it being held?
THE first ODI is taking place at the magnificent Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Known as The ‘G to locals, the massive arena can accommodate 100,000 and is the traditional venue of the Boxing Day Test.
Also used for Aussie Rules, the MCG is the largest ground in Australia and the tenth biggest in the entire world.

What is the team news?
CAMERON WHITE has earned a shock recall for the Aussies after his exploits in the Big Bash.
Chris Lynn has picked up an injury and is replaced by the Victoria veteran, who hasn’t featured in limited overs international cricket for over three years.
England have a completely separate side to the Test team, with Eoin Morgan leading from the front with his combative and counter-attacking batting style.
Jason Roy, Alex Hales, Jos Buttler, Sam Billings, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid and David Willey are all likely to feature.

How does the series work?
THIS five-match tournament works exactly the same as the Ashes series – except with 50 over games.
Each match is played in a different city, with the sides picking up a point for each game won.
The series will be won by the side who can win 3 out of 5 of the matches – providing we don’t get any draws.
