According to the Portugese news oulet A Bola, Marega has a £35million buy out clause.

Marega made his name in Portugal with Maritimo, hitting 12 goals in 29 before earning a 2016 move to Porto.

His form this season has seen him linked with a host of Premier League clubs such as West Ham and Swansea.

However, the report states that Sam Allardyce’s side are leading the way in trying to bring in the hitman.

The report claims that Everton’s larger bank balance and financial resources will make it easier for them to strike a deal with Porto.

Meanwhile, Jack Wilshere has emerged as a potential target for Everton boss Allardyce this summer.

Ex-England boss Big Sam has revealed he has always been a fan of Arsenal star Wilshere and waxed lyrical about his current condition.

When asked if he was a fan of Wilshere, Toffees boss Allardyce claimed: “I’ve always admired him, oh yes.”

“He looks a lot fitter than he was and he is leaner in his face.

“He looks like he’s had a real go off the field, with his diet and extra training, to overcome his injury problems and prove what a great player he is.
