TWO footie-mad brothers say they are jinxed as each time they get a player’s name on a shirt they leave their beloved club within weeks.
Swansea City fans Elis, 11, and Ioan Griffiths, 14, now have seven replica kits printed with names of stars who play for other teams.
Two soccer-loving brothers whose parents buy £50 shirts of their favourite players say they are jinxed
Dad Owen, 42, who has splashed out more than £350 on them, said: “I think we’re cursed. You can put your shirt on any player the boys like leaving.”
The exodus started in 2012 when Scott Sinclair signed Elis’s new replica top and left for Manchester City the next day. That continued with stars including Wilfried Bony, also to Man City, Michu to Napoli and Bafetimbi Gomis to Marseilles.

This month Owen persuaded Elis not to go for Ashley Williams amid exit rumours which proved true. Instead he went for Andre Ayew, who left for West Ham within days.
“This year he said he fancied the new blue away kit,” he says.
“Initially he wanted Ashley Williams, but I had an inkling he might leave so I persuaded him not to.”
Instead he had Andre Ayew put on his shirt – and he left in the same week.
“We find the whole thing very funny,” said Owen.

He added: “I try to persuade them just to have their own names on the shirt, or to have them blank, or we should buy them after the transfer window has closed.
“But the problem is that the new kits come out around school report time – and it is a reward for doing well in school.”
Elis, from Neath, South Wales, said: “I love the team. I just wish the players stayed a bit longer.”
