Concerned driver Ryszard Jurowski tailed him to his Newcastle home after spotting his erratic behaviour, when McCrory drove on the wrong side of the road – causing another car to stop.

Ryszard approached McCrory’s Range Rover and attempted to stop him from driving off while he called the police.

However the 6ft 4in boxer hit him several times – leaving him with a split lip and bruised face.

But he was convicted and given ten weeks’ jail suspended and a 30-month driving ban.
District judge Sarah-Jane Griffiths told him:”I am sure you were severely intoxicated.

“The fact you did not provide a specimen means we will never know how intoxicated you were.

“I am thankful no-one was hurt by your driving and I am thankful you weren’t hurt by your driving.

“Somebody could have been killed.”
