FIFA 17 has its fair share of glitches… but this one featuring Ibrahimovic has to be the weirdest yet

FIFA 17 has its fair share of glitches, but this one is just outright weird.

EA Sports’ latest offering has had a few teething problems over its first week.

But this video from RLdesignz shows one of the strangest glitches we’ve ever seen.

After slotting home a goal, Ibrahimovic is caught by the keeper and goes to ground before performing a rather 'loving' celebration on the goalie.

As expected with any game, the first few weeks are always going to be filled with weird glitches and exploits.

We will probably be expecting EA to release a patch in the coming weeks which will end up fixing many of the issues with the game.

Many of the issues players have experienced come down to EA switching the engine used to power the game from a custom built FIFA system to their groundbreaking Frostbite system.

The system was initially developed for DICE (a subsidiary of EA), and used across their Battlefield titles, but has now become their main engine in many of their major titles.

Originally developed for first-person shooters, the publisher has now used it to power the likes of Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, Star Wars Battlefront and Need For Speed.

Despite a difficult first week, it looks as though the battle between FIFA and PES has finally been settled.

Sales figures released by both EA Sports and Konami (the company behind PES) show that FIFA has sold over 40 times the number of copies when compared to its counterpart.

With industry expert Daniel Ahmad revealing that FIFA sold a whopping 1.1 million copies in its first week while PES struggled to scrape together 50,000.

While FIFA has faced a large amount of scrutiny due to its rather lacklustre release this year, it has still been able to smash the record for highest number of sales in the first week (which was coincidentally previously held by FIFA 13).

This comes as a massive blow to PES who have been dropping sales year-on-year despite exceptionally good reviews across the board this year.

So while we've been seeing some pretty dodgy glitches from this year's FIFA it looks as though this is going to be a huge turning point in the battle between football's biggest video games.
