It was way back on Fifa 09 when Lionel Messi was last not the best player on the wildly popular game, but the 29-year-old has relinquished his grip.

Brazilian forward Messi and Neymar could barely be separated on 92 and 93 respectively.
And the trio have yet again set themselves apart as the best three footballers in the world.
EA released the rest of their top ten yesterday with Luis Suarez (92) fourth and Gareth Bale (90) sixth behind Manuel Neuer (92).

The Borussia Dortmund ace won the honour after a fans’ vote, beating Chelsea’s EdenHazard, Manchester United’s Anthony Martial and Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez.
