Former Aussie captain Allan Border blasts Matt Renshaw for sprinting off mid-match to use the loo
AUSSIE opener Matt Renshaw was blasted by former captain Allan Border for getting the wrong kind of runs.
The Yorkshire-born star, 20, retired with an upset tummy during the opening day of the First Test with India in Pune.
Renshaw, who retired on 36 but later resumed to score 68, said: “When you need to go to the toilet, you’ve got to go.”

But Border hit out: “I hope he was lying on the table half dead. As captain, I’d not be happy.”
In an entertaining opening session of the First Test between Australia and India in Pune, Renshaw was seen sprinting off the field of play immediately after David Warner was bowled by Umesh Yadav.

After a quick word with captain and incoming No3 Steve Smith, it was announced the opener would be retiring ‘hurt’.
However, it later transpired that Renshaw, 20, was suffering from a severe case of Delhi belly.
Indian opponent Ravi Jadeja quipped: “Matt Renshaw retired hurt, I offered him a spicy combo of Vada Pav and Misal Pav this morning. That did the trick.”
