RIO FERDINAND has been enjoying himself this week, taking a swipe at keyboard warriors on Instagram.
The ‘game’ all started a on Monday, when the former Manchester United defender, 38, posted a picture of himself working out outdoors.
Ferdinand captioned the snap: “6.30am pre school run work out this morning… Trap Bar Shrugs! #JustShowUp”

However, eagle-eyed followers were quick to notice the bright daylight in the background… With the sun not rising at this time of year until around 7.30am and 8am.
One fan brutally quipped: “No this was [not] 06:30am, sunrise was about 07:50am, here I hope you read this @rioferdy5.
“I don’t know why you’d say it was 6.30, think it makes you a hard man or something? Maybe you can’t tell the time actually.”
Another simply wrote: “Bit light if it was this morning?”
Then, on Tuesday, Ferdinand performed a similar stunt, posting a pic of another ‘early-morning’ session, captioned: “5:30am… Bright and early morning workout! #JustShowUp”
Not the subtle, humorous use of the word ‘bright’…
Once again, followers took the bait, with one saying: “It got light just after 8am today lol.”
Another added: “Ok but at 5:30am it is pitch black.”
So, on to Wednesday and Ferdinand added yet another bright post – this time a video – of a morning workout.
The former West Ham man wrote: “4.30am… Getting the biceps ready… Strong workout on a fine English morning!! #JustShowUp”

In the video, Ferdinand - while deliberately looking to the sky - says: "4.30am. If ever there was a time to rock out a couple of bicep curls... Now we're talking.
"While you're asleep, the big man's out. It's 4.30, mate. This is what happens at 4.30.
At this stage you think people would cotton on to Rio's trolling, but no.
One user commented: "It's pitch black at 4:30."
Another chimed in with: "Why is he lying? Sunrise ain't till 7.30."
A third said: "Sorry @rioferdy5 but you good sir, are lying. It gets light at 8..."
Fortunately this time, some did appear to get the gag, with one saying: "Lol I bit last time!"
Another wrote: "Hahaha class @rioferdy5 get people talking, taking the p*** out the lot of you."
Newly-crowned king of Instagram Patrice Evra also had his say on the whole in-joke, saying: "Bro why are you awake at 4h30 I'm started to worry about you...
"Do you want me to comeback home and we can have a little talk...@rioferdy5. I love this game ahahahahahahah."
Well, that's one way to deal with those keyboard warriors, Rio...
