Former Paris Saint-Germain star Ezequiel Lavezzi leaves fans fuming as he parties on boat with Argentina struggling to make World Cup

EZEQUIEL LAVEZZI has left fans raging after a video has emerged of the winger partying on a boat as Argentina face failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

The 2014 runners-up continue to disappoint in the South American preliminary competition – recently drawing against minnows Venezuela 1-1.

Lavezzi, 32, is a highly controversial figure for his nation, and until recently had been an integral part of the squad since making his international debut in 2007.

Now plying his trade in the Chinese Super League with Hebei China Fortune after leaving Paris Saint-Germain, the four-time Ligue 1 champion could fail to play in another major global competition.

But he did not seem worried by his Argentinian team-mates failing to beat Venezuela, as he let his hair down with friends on a luxury yacht with a swimming pool, waterfall, music and plenty drink in abundance.

The ex-Napoli ace is seen dancing to the music, seemingly without a care in the world after being dropped from the international side.

It was only last November that captain Lionel Messi announced the team would no longer speak to the media after unfounded accusations about Lavezzi smoking a joint in the changing rooms.

Any chance of a potential recall look to be shattered as fans rage on social media about the issue.

His club form could potentially warrant a call-up by Jorge Sampaoli – netting 14 times in 20 games for Hebei in 2017 as they sit third in the table.

But it looks likely highly unlikely he will add to his 51 caps and nine goals for the Albicelestes.

Lavezzi may not have tasted glory with the Argentinian senior side – having been a World Cup runner-up and a two-time Copa America runner-up, but he was part of the squad that claimed the gold medal in the 2008 Olympics.

His country sit fifth in their qualifying group, a massive 13 points behind leaders Brazil, who have already qualified for the finals in Russia.

Their most likely chance of qualifying for next summer’s tournament look to be via the play-off route, where the fifth-placed side face an Oceanic country.
