MANCHESTER UNITED new boy Fred will undergo a scan on Friday as Brazil waits on the extent of his ankle injury.
The £52million man – who only completed his move to Old Trafford on Monday – was seen with heavy strapping on his ankle after a mistimed lunge by Casemiro at a pre-World Cup training session.

Fred immediately went down in pain after a sliding tackle by the Real Madrid man at Spurs’ Enfield training base.
Former Shakhtar Donetsk star Fred, 25, cried out in pain before being worked on by Brazilian medical staff.
He could be seen grimacing and with his head in his hands as strapping was applied on the side of the pitch.
And team physician Dr Rodrigo Lasmar said Brazil – and Jose Mourinho – now face a waiting game.
