Galatasaray hooligans ambush coach full of rival Besiktas supporters ahead of Turkish Super Cup clash
GALATASARAY hooligans ambushed a coach full of rival Besiktas supporters ahead of the Turkish Super Cup clash yesterday.
Shocking footage shows fans of the Turkish giants brutally launching objects at the coach as it drove along the road, smashing windows ahead of the match which was held at the neutral Torku Arena venue in the city of Konya.
Much of the front windscreen was smashed in while entire window panels down the side of the white vehicle were caved in completely.
Galatasaray fans shouted as the bus passed while some Besiktas fans inside the coach took cover.
On the pitch, Galatasaray won their first silverware of the season having won on penalties against their bitter Istanbul rivals.

The ugly scenes came just days after the Turkish Clubs' Union lifted a ban on away fans for the top four clubs after violence marred previous encounters.
Wesley Sneijder and Lukas Podolski both played for Gala, with the Dutchman setting up veteran Hakan Balta for the opener.
Aurelein Chedjou scored an own goal to bring Besiktas level just after the half-time in extra-time, and that is how it remained until the dreaded penalties.
Besiktas then had a nightmare from the spot missing three of their spot kicks, while Galatasaray scored all of theirs.
But it was the violence before the game that stole the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
