His opponent is yet to be announced.

On Instagram he posted a preview video of the event and wrote: "Newcastle we are coming...

"Homecoming time."

Chalmers has silenced the doubters who thought the Geordie Shore star was moving into MMA as a publicity stunt.

In his first fight in May he beat Greg Jenkins with an impressive submission.

Earlier this month Chalmers then stunned the crowd at Wembley Arena.

Unloading a flurry of punches, he took just 30 seconds to ferociously knockout Alex Thompson in front of a star-studded crowd.

Former heavyweight world champion David Haye - who has agreed to a rematch with Tony Bellew at the O2 - was ringside for the knockout.

He said that Chalmers had innate ability - and could have been a world champion if he started 10 years earlier.

He said: "There are highlight reel knockouts, and then there are knockouts like that.

"Any MMA fighter in the world would be happy with a knockout like that.

"Certain people are made to fight, but they don't realise this until later in their life.

"Imagine if he had realised this 10 years ago. He could have been world champion by now."
