LUKAS PODOLSKI has leapt to the defence of Germany boss Joachim Low’s disgusting scratching habits by claiming it is common amongst men.
Die Mannschaft’s manager was caught by TV cameras on Sunday with his hands down both the front and back of his trousers – before revoltingly giving his fingers a sniff.
But German veteran Podolski, who has made 128 caps for his country, defended Low, 54.
Podolski, 31, said: “I believe 80 per cent of you [journalists] and me as well, sometimes scratch your testicles from time to time.”
What the Galatasaray forward did not mention was the filthy aftermath in which Low took a whiff of his private bits.

Low's ballsy habits also came under-fire when he shook Mario Gotze's hand after substituting him with Bastian Schweinsteiger during Germany's 2-0 win over Ukraine.
BBC commentator Jonathan Pearce remarked on Low's charcoal-black hair, questioning whether he died his mop.
Low was also caught red-handed in Euro 2012 picking his nose and EATING it.
And in 2008 the Germany coach - nicknamed Jogi in his own nation - wiped his sweaty armpits before inhaling the scent from his mits.
Germany are top of Group C and face Poland on Thursday before taking on Northern Ireland next Tuesday.
