Goalkeeper scores outrageous last minute overhead kick equaliser in South African Premier Division match

WHEN a goalkeeper ambles into the opposition penalty area in the vague hope of scoring a last minute equaliser, most dream of a stunning goal from the gloveman.

While it almost never happens, when it does we must thank the presence of TV cameras – on this occasion in the South African Premier Division.

Orlando Pirates were 1-0 up tonight away to mid-table Baroka thanks so a goal from Justice Chabalala when the clock moved into added time at the end of the game.

Up came 23-year-old Baroka keeper Oscarine Masuluke for a late corner, which was punched out by the Pirates' own gloveman.

It fell kindly for Masuluke with his back to goal a good 20 yards out on the edge of the box - and as if by magic, he executed a perfect bicycle kick which sailed into the top left hand corner.

He immediately ran away to celebrate - and perhaps more peculiarly, Masuluke had a bizarre pre-prepared celebration which he tried to do with his teammates.

Stomping the ground twice with his right foot before grabbing his crotch, one can only imagine what it meant - but you can forgive him after his outrageous effort.
