History made at the Aegon Championships as there will be a guaranteed all-British showdown in the quarter-finals at Queen’s Club
A BIT of tennis history is guaranteed after Kyle Edmund advanced to the Aegon Championships quarter finals without hitting a ball.
Edmund ‘s opponent, Paul-Henri Mathieu of France, has pulled out of their second round match because of a wrist injury.
And that means Edmund will face the winner of Andy Murray’s clash with British No2 Aljaz Bedene – to be played on Thursday afternoon.
It will be the first time two Brits have clashed in the last eight at Queen’s since tennis went professional in 1968.
