BRAZIL striker Hulk has undergone a medical ahead of his blockbuster move to the Chinese Super League.
The 29-year-old is set to join Sven-Goran Eriksson at Shanghai SIPG, after the cash-rich club bought him from Zenit St Petersburg for an eye-watering £45million.
Hulk, who was greeted at Shanghai airport on Wednesday by hundreds of fans, will immediately become one of the top 10 earning players in the world.
He has signed a massive deal worth £16.6m annually – or £320,000-a-week – placing him ahead of elite players such as Luis Suarez and Eden Hazard.
The massive deal also makes him the No 18 most expensive transfer ever, overtaking Arsenal’s club record signing Mesut Ozil.
After being chased by a number of European heavyweights while at Porto, Hulk took the surprising decision to move to Russia for £33m in 2012.
