Hull transfer news: Tigers complete signing of Villarreal midfielder Alfred N’Diaye on season-long loan

HULL CITY have snapped up talented midfielder Alfred N’Diaye in the closing hours of transfer deadline day.

The midfielder joins for the rest of the season on loan from La Liga side Villarreal and will wear the No.10 shirt.

It is the 26-year-old’s second stint in the Premier League having played for Sunderland in 2013.

And the Senegal international will be handed the tough task of trying to thrust Marco Silva’s side out of the relegation spot.

The signing will be a welcome relief for Silva with Ryan Mason set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The ex-Tottenham man was forced off with a horrific broken skull following a clash of heads with Chelsea’s Gary Cahill last week.

Silva has also seen midfielders Robert Snodgrass and Jake Livermore move to West Ham and West Brom respectively.

But N'Diaye arrives at the KC Stadium as Silva's sixth major January signing following the arrivals of Evandro, Omar Elabdellaoui, Lazar Markovic, Oumar Niasse and Andrea Ranocchia.

And he could be thrown straight into action when Hull travel to Manchester United on Wednesday night.
