‘I wanna defend this belt in the UK!’ UFC champion Michael Bisping calls for first defence on home soil
MICHAEL Bisping shocked the world to claim the UFC middleweight title at UFC 199, then said he wants nothing more than to return home to the UK for his first title defence.
Speaking exclusively to SunSport backstage after an emotional night in Los Angeles, Bisping confirmed he wanted to bring the belt home to the fans who have backed him all the way to victory.

“I want to defend this belt in the UK,” he declared.
“It’s my dream and it’s always been my dream.
“It was my dream to fight Anderson Silva – and beat Anderson Silva and take the belt – in the UK.

“I just beat Anderson Silva in London, I just took the belt in LA, it doesn’t get much better than this.
“The first defence in Manchester would be an absolute dream come true. It would just be incredible.
“That would be a fairytale.”
