THE biggest event of the club T20 calendar takes place in Hyderabad as Rising Pune Supergiant and Mumbai Indians contest the IPL final.
Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler have played key roles in helping the opposing sides to the showpiece event.
But will they be able to play in the final? Here’s all you need to know.
When is the IPL final?
Rising Pune Supergiant face off against Mumbai Indians at 3.30pm today.
The two teams met just five days ago in the first qualifier for the final with Pune emerging 20-run winners.
Mumbai then earned their place in the final with a six-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in Bangalore on Friday.
What TV channel is the IPL final on?
Sky Sports hold the rights to the Indian Premier League this year.
The final will be shown on Sky Sports 4.
Coverage will begin at 3pm, half and hour before the start of the match.
Will Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler play?
The destructive batting pair helped the two sides reach the final, with Ben Stokes in form for Pune and Jos Buttler for Mumbai.
But they have both been recalled to the England squad to prepare for the Champions Trophy, so will be unavailable for tonight's match.
The decision by the ECB has been strongly criticised by Kevin Pietersen.
He tweeted: "Absolutely PATHETIC that @benstokes38 & @josbuttler have to go drink a few beers in Spain instead of playing IPL finals!"
The former England captain also told Sky Sports: “I think it’s pathetic. An absolute shambles.
“Stokes should be playing in the semi-final and the final. The last week of the IPL is a huge occasion.
“What are they going to Spain for? To field a couple of balls? He should be playing in the IPL.
“Just speak to him, speak to Jos Buttler, they’ll talk about how much it has helped their development being out there.”
There is added controversy to the decision to recall the players, given that Cricket Australia have allowed Pune captain Steve Smith to stay in India for the showpiece.
