She got the idea while posing for an Instagram shot with Leicester striker Jamie on a £25,000 pitch installed in the garden of their £2.5million Lincolnshire home.

The mum of four bought a Three Lions goalie top and wowed Jamie, 31, after challenging him to a kickabout.

A source said: “She tried to help him practise penalties last year but it wasn’t much of a challenge for him.

“For the past few months, while Jamie’s been at training, she’s been doing the same in the back garden with her own trainer, April Hirst.

Jamie scored in Tuesday’s 1-1 Wembley draw with Italy and hopes to have a starring role in the summer’s World Cup in Russia.

The source added: “If we end up having to face a penalty shoot-out and Jamie scores, Becky will feel like all the hard work has paid off.”

Becky told a pal: “I felt a bit daft at first. But April was a real help, and now I don’t feel such a fool.”
