Juventus CEO gives Emre Can update as German prepares for Champions League final with Liverpool


EMRE CAN’S Juventus move will be sorted one way or the other within 10 days, according to CEO Giuseppe Marotta.

The Juventus chief has been trying to land the Liverpool ace, 24, on a free to bolster his midfield.

Can is in the Reds squad for tomorrow night’s Champions League final with his future still up in the air.

And Marotta, 61, said: “Emre Can is possible, I am optimistic, within 10 days we will resolve the deal in a positive or negative sense”

The Old Lady are happy with their options up top, where Paulo Dybala, Douglas Costa, Gonzalo Higuain and Mario Mandzukic have formed strong links.

And Marotta intends to keep the quartet together, confirming: “We have a competitive squad.

“There are important operations in the pipeline. In the offensive department, we are doing well.

“Mandzukic will be a Juve player next year, Douglas Costa we will know by 30 June. We are happy with Dybala and on Higuain there are no alarms.

On potential transfer targets, Marotta confirmed Matteo Darmian was a “possibility”, while ruling out a move for Manchester United target Sergej Milinkovic Savic.

Finally, he praised Napoli for bringing in Carlo Ancelotti to try and challenge’s Juve’s dominance.

Marotta added: “It was a deliberate choice of one of the top managers by Napoli.”
