KIRK Yeaman may make a sensational comeback from retirement to answer Hull’s call in their hour of need.
Lee Radford could be missing 11 players for the Magic Weekend derby with Hull KR if winger Bureta Faraimo gets a ban after being sent off in the Challenge Cup battle at Featherstone.
There are also questions as to whether Josh Griffin may face suspension after being seen to throw a punch as six players were also sin-binned.
Now sources say former centre Yeaman, who hung up his boots at the end of the 2016 season, may decide to play again.
It is believed the 34-year-old has been in for extra training sessions on Friday and Saturday with an eye to a stunning return.
Half-backs Albert Kelly and Marc Sneyd head the injury list but Hull lost Fetuli Talanoa, Josh Bowden and Carlos Tuimavave on Friday to what Radford described as ‘serious looking’ injuries.
And Faraimo may face disciplinary action after being red carded by ref Scott Mikalauskas at the end of the 38-20 win.
If Yeaman does come back, he will make his return at Newcastle’s St James’ Park on Sunday.
