PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN‘s left-back Layvin Kurzawa is a flourishing goal-scoring superstar.
The French defender featured in a France shirt for the first time since 2014 and was on target in Thursday’s 3-1 victory to Italy.
The 23-year-old, who was included in SunSport’s Paris SG best starting XI for 2016-17, has scored four goals and assisted two in five competitive appearances across all competitions so far this season.
The left-back would currently rank third best scorer, behind Sergio Aguero and Zlatan, if he was playing in the Premier League.
And Kurzawa will take over Patrice Evra’s position as France left-back for the Russia 2018 World Cup if he keeps this level this season and further.
Kurzawa admitted he was ‘fortunate’ to have participated in pre-season with the French champions after he was called up by France coach Didier Deschamps.
He said: “Yes, it is true that this year I have been fortunate enough to have a good pre-season and been able to put in some quality training sessions.
“I think that is why I have made a good start to the season. With three wins for the team, it has been positive. We have to keep going like that.
