BRIAN McDERMOTT faced up to missing out on the top eight and admitted Leeds’ pride is dented.
Joe Mellor dropped the winning goal with 90 seconds left to condemn last season’s treble winners to a fight for Super League survival in the qualifiers.
Bottom side Leeds were booed off the field as a 12-point lead slipped by.
Coach McDermott said: “It’s a dent to our pride, absolutely. It’s not where we want to be and it’s not what we’re about but it’s where we’re at.”
