LEEDS UNITED defender Kyle Bartley was brutally trolled during a Twitter Q&A on Thursday… by his own mum.

The former Arsenal centre-back, 25, was conducting a social media session on the official Leeds account when mother Maria chimed in.

On Wednesday night, Leeds tweeted: “We’re sitting down with #LUFC defender Kyle Bartley for #AskBartley on Thursday afternoon.

“What do you want us to ask the man himself?”

Presumably in a bid to publicly name and shame her son, she tweeted: “Why does your phone line always break up after we’ve been chatting for ten minutes?

Mum Maria followed up her hilarious post with a series of laughing emojis.

On the pitch, Bartley has been having a terrific season for Leeds on loan from Swansea, racking up 40 appearances in all competitions, scoring four times.

However, he may well not return to Elland Road next season – instead opting to return to Paul Clement’s side.

While the Swans are struggling to avoid Premier League relegation – currently sitting 16th, just five points above the drop zone – Leeds are flying high in the Championship.

Garry Monk’s men are currently fourth with 65 points from 36 games in their bid to return to the top flight for the first time since 2004.
