Leeds United keeper Rob Green has made more errors that have led to a goal than any other Championship player since the start of last season

LEEDS UNITED’S recent form of nine wins in 12 games was ended on Sunday by Newcastle United, with one Whites player achieving notoriety for reasons he will not particularly like.

Though Newcastle gained a magnificent ninth successive victory in all competitions for Rafa Benitez’s Championship-leading side with Dwight Gayle’s brace, Leeds keeper Rob Green was a major talking point during and after the game.

Leeds have some demanding fixtures coming up with the next four games, also on TV, including Liverpool in the cup and Aston Villa and Brighton in the league.

They certainly cannot afford any more self-inflicted mistakes during this period if they want to keep up the pace with the teams around them.

So, Green had better be in top form in the next few critical weeks.
