Legendary commentator John Motson dons sheepskin coat as he watches Ruby Walsh ride four winners at Cheltenham

THE country’s favourite commentator John Motson is usually spotted in his sheepskin coat at a variety of football grounds.

But the 71-year-old was snapped relaxing at the Cheltenham on Thursday as day three brought more thrilling action at the races.

Swapping the microphone for a glass of red wine, Moston was once again donning his sheepskin jacket as he watched the action unfold.

In his other hand he was holding a race card and he would have undoubtedly had a flutter throughout the day.

And if he would have backed the legendary Ruby Walsh he would have been in the money as the Irishman romped home on four winners.

Moston wasn’t the only familiar face watching the racing as Chris Kamara was also seen chugging a pint in one.

The Sky Sports presenter enjoyed a laugh with the crowd after they egged the ex-footballer to see his pint off before holding his empty glass to the group below.

Royalty Zara Tindall was in attendance yet again with husband Mike Tindall as Irish-trained owners took home all the glory.

On the race track it was a day for trainer Willie Mullins and jockey Walsh to remember.
